It's funny how the snow seems to send them all loopy; my dogs go nuts in it too!
Some friends of mine breed Dales ponies and are expecting 7 foals this year, the first one is due any day. They have invited me to come and visit with my camera when it gets turned out with it's mum for the first time and I can't wait!!!!

Congrats Laura, just read your post. Bet it's chaos at your house! My 19 month old drew me a 'butterfly' in oil pastel on my antique pine desk this morning. I was so proud.... :-S

Lol! We've all been there I think! My son did an extraordinarily complicated 'mural' all the way round my bedroom walls at the same age... could be mistaken for something out of Tate Modern. I'm ashamed to say I haven't redecorated since so it's still there and he is now 13! ![]()

Thanks Elin! It's actually a lot less mad than I was expecting, Henry is a very easy going baby thank god!
Oliver who is 20 months now likes drawing with crayons too (almost as much as he enjoys eating them
), nothing resembling anything as interesting as a butterfly though... just crazy scribbles! I bought a huge 1m wide roll of paper from ELC which is really good for covering tables and floors with to draw on, recommend it! Perhaps we should organise a junior SEA workshop?!

Ha ha that's a great idea! Her 'butterfly' was very abstract, I only knew that's what it was because she calls them 'wow's...
I wish she would draw with crayons, she lost interest in them when she realised they didn't make a mark on skin ![]()

hmmm, was wondering, do the SEA allow non-art adverts in the news letter? For instance, if I wanted to advertise that I design and build websites for artists, could I advertise that ?
Offline
That might be possible- I'll find out. I think there would be a small charge ( and it could only go in if there was space after all the SEA stuff, of course).

I have checked, yes it should be possible, the charge would be £25 (that would be for around a third of an A4 page, I should think.)
You'd need to get your copy to me or to Pip before the end of this month.
Please do make sure that whichever of us you send it to replies to confirm we've had it- it is amazing how many emails get lost in the ether!

Excellent, I'd better get something written up then!

Seth - what format does the advert have to be in?

For all Newsletter inquiries, please would everyone contact me or Pip direct rather than asking on here- I have in the past vowed never to come on the Forum again, and sometimes I don't check it for days or more.
for text,
.doc .rtf .pdf
if sending to me, I can also take star or open office files (e.g. .odt .sxw) or InDesign (.indd)
Don't bother too much about layout, the printers will redo that in any case. If you are using images, by all means indicate the layout but also send them separately as they may need to be re-sized.
Images .jpg is easiest and smallest as a rule but .tff and .psd are okay if you must.......
Best not go above 1MB in one email.
